  best to use Kinley Tonic or Shweppes Indian Tonic water as both contain real chinnine (or however you spell that) unlike the many synthetic only 'tonic-tasting' crap. I have an even better idea though for this jello - for the second glass use vodka instead of tonic and put the jello in the freezer - would make great fluorescent jello shots 'with a kick' :)

  Well since it just has tonic water and jello (both edible and sold as food) it is safe to eat, tonic water is bitter though, so not that tasty, add sugar and it is fine.

Hey I tried you jello, worked great, was a bit bitter from the tonic water so I added sugar, tastes great and the kids were really excited.
