First, you said "circle", not "tube" or "cylinder".
Second, you said "only 3 lines". In order to complete the trick, you have to add a fourth line.

But I am pretty sure a cylinder is not considered a circle ! To me a 3D circle would be more like a sphere not a cylinder.
