  • Not actually there

    This is probably a connector point for the slide (or photo material) that the original satellite content was shot on. it would be a reference point for where another shot would be connected to create a contiguous view of the same geographical space. I'm sure there isn't actually such a shape in the ocean there - it probably just didn't get erase when the satellite content was overlayed on to the map.
