  These are not the same as rats from sewer, these are home, or if you wish people pets type of mice. How much chance would they have a disease leaving their whole life in a cage? very small...
  Even if they bite, there would not be so much damage, they are tiny for that...(I've been bitten by white mice and hampsters, never had problems caused by that)
