  Yep, there's quite a difference between pistol rounds (even the .44 mag) and nearly any rifle round in terms of muzzle energy.

One of my-
friends has a .300 Win Mag--We shot a big water melon with it and half the melon was gone-I mean we could not even find wet fragments of it on the ground. The compression of that round is just sick! Goes a long ways too.
