This is clever movie. Its fun to read the previous comments and see how it confused viewers. The short film demonstrates how irony and subtlety are becoming lost to audiences today. The film maker clearly states that "America is not a place" but an idea. That BIG idea folded into the film is that anyone, anywhere, that believes in humanity, freedom of thought, freedom of religion - or no religion, the right to choose and to replace elected officials, is an "American" can be missed if you don't listen to the individuals that come from 'all over the world." "America is an idea" says the Jamaican at the end. An idea worth grasping if you ask me. An idea that is filled with love and hope.
