Classic Game Room reviews KUNG FU for Nintendo Entertainment System from 1985 based on the 1984 arcade machine, Kung Fu Master from Irem. This 2D side scrolling beat em up predates many games like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage by several years and clearly influenced many games in the genre, as it was influenced by martial arts films from the previous two decades like Bruce Lee's "The Game of Death". Players take up the fight of Thomas who is kicking ass to save his girlfriend, Sylvia from the evil Mr. X (Speed Racer's brother perhaps?). This CGR review of Kung Fu on NES has gameplay during the Kung Fu video review showing Nintendo Kung Fu game play played on Nintend Entertainment System.
