    Is a part of being alive. Everything is greedy, even plants.

    But with animals who have to actually HUNT for their food, its not greed, its survival. Eat as much as you can now, because you might not find any food later.

    Its only called greed when it comes to rich humans who already have everything they need, yet still take more more more, leaving the poor to suffer.

      We have what we need, but our instinct to gain more is still in existence. It only pushes us to pursue things we don't need, and we are miserable without them. Once we gain that then we are miserable until we gain the next thing. Our own greed may have used to be a survival skill, but is now half of our misery.
