As hard as it is to watch, this is a very powerful video. Thank you for posting it, I hope it gets all the coverage it deserves.

This is a heart-wrenching story. Perhaps showing something like this to the individuals convicted of DUI will help them to remember not to drink and drive in the future..

this is soooo sad. Such a unfortunate story. Jacqueline Saburido is such a strong lady adn person.

I just hope that you aren't just using this to make money, and if you do make some you give it to her or some related organization.

What a terrible tragedy and horrible sight! Jacqueline must be one of the strongest to withstand the trauma. I showed the story to my children, friends and colleagues who promised to tell the story to those who matter and emphasise the dangers in committing the sin of drunken driving. After seeing this, I only wish to congratulate Jacqueline for her courage and resolve. God bless you, Jacqueline.

Im far from shocked it can happen to anyone and life can be very unfair, even tho she shows a very strong way to deal with it, i couldent do better myself...

i'm sorry but when listening to reggie talk about how 'different' jail is from home and how it's awful and there's someone telling him what to do all the time made me feel so angry.
jacqueline's life is changed. completely (like she said). she didn't choose to get into an accident and have 2 of her friends killed by a drunk driver.
he chose to drive drunk and i do not feel sorry for him AT ALL. how did he ONLY get 7 years in prison and a fine for $20,000??

Jacqueline is awesome! As a speaker, author and father of a 5 year old son that was killed by an impaired driver, I have been using her video for years as part of my presentations. Last fall I was the keynote speaker for the TXDOT Conference and was hoping to meet her but she had to be out of the country.

She is truly a shinning star and beacon of hope.

I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I am a School Resource office and I have been using Jackie's Story in class for awhile now. I recently found this video and started using it simply on of the best tools i have to help educate kids about drinking and driving.

I do events for high school in my area about drinking and driving for prom every year this is a perfect example of what can happen. I would love to get her to come out and talk to the kids one year. Does anyone know the name of that song I could use it this year with the special guest speakers I have.

Always remind ur self u must go home safe.. Others must safe..If u lost ur self this could be happen.. Im very sure the person in prison should be very upset to be involve in this tragedy..

Forgivness is a very hard thing to do. Yes this man has changed this ladies life and her families forever, and for those who lost their life. That can not be changed. Regardless of his sentence, his sentence is forever, even when not behind bars. I hope during this time he has reflected his actions, and repented to God for the wrong he caused.

The bible teaches that you may not enter the kingdom of heaven without forgiveness in your heart. For those who are not christian they can not consume this thought process, yes we are angry for the wrong done. I pray that she finds peace in her life. That she finds or has found God, only he can heal her emotional pains that reck her mind and body everyday.

She can be an excellent witness for God, she is alive by the Grace of God and those men who stopped to remove her.

May God give you peace in your heart, because our hearts break when we see what has been done to you, but you are alive and can help many others who have and will go through what you have...may God bless you.

You did an awesome job on this video! Is there any way I can get a copy of it? I volunteer for a program on drinking and driving and I believe it to be of great benefit to anyone who sees it. We need to get it out there-I pray for healing for Jacqui often.

I participate in a program that tells our grade tens about the consequences of drinking and driving as well as what doing drugs does to your body and your life.

though her story is very heart touching this video helps a lot in transforming those who drunken drives and alerts other teenagers also from abstaining away from this vicious consumption of alcohol .thanks a lot

in my country the legal alcohol limit is .05
in some countries its .08 and some have a .1 tolerence
thats up to double the amount in my country where a .06 will see you get jailed for an accident like that where in other countries your considered sober.
we need uniformity and consistency world wide before anything will work.

read some comments before i watch any video. i dont think i have the nerve to watch this video. life sometimes is unfair and bad things happen to good people. and usualy its not their fault. i am not going to proceed and watch this video as i know how this can happen to anyone. the only thing that we can do as individuals to protect our selves and others is to respect life and DO NOT drink and drive. i hope the soul and heart of this young girl will eventualy heal under any cost.

Great video, but the backgound music is very loud and makes the words hard to understand.

Admirable to allow one's disfigurement to shock the viewer from complacency. I sincerely hope that she can achieve some serenity with a face transplant.

Go out to her and the family. It amazes me when the drunk driver causes an accident. They hurt emotionally and mentally and has to live with their actions. But the lost of life can not be replaced. So to hte family I say let GOD give you strength and continue to be a message for the world. As hard as it may seems you are a message to the world. Keep up the spirit. GOD BLESS YOU ALL

I used to work in the Emergency Room here in a prominent Michigan hospital and took quite a few victims of drunk driving to the morgue. These deaths from drunk driving are much more horrifying in person. I watched a doctor tell the father of a family that he was the only one to survive (just barely). Now that father is alone.

It is a warning to all of us. Alcohol + Driving = Disaster

i saw the accident pics 2-3 years bak,i ws shocked then as im rite nw.though an accident,it still could hav been avoided.i wish this video makes sense to everyone who watches it,cz to some it still won't.bt its nt tht hard if ppl try,ALTLEAST TRY.

the pain of a bad crash can have fx on frends to . a mate killed 4 when a car failed to give way to him and he hit them with a truck an trailer @ 100kms knowing he was at the wheel an that he drove over the top of the car is the thing that he wont forget ever .pain can hit all persons

Jacqueline Saburido was a beautiful girl who is now not only denied the infinite pleasures of normal social and intimate relationships, but is forced to realize such a terrible reality for the remainder of a life that seems far from ending. I could live without playing sports. I could not live knowing that I will never fall in love and experience an intimate relationship ever again. I'd rather die.

Drinking & driving is so wrong. Every week I hear about a new accident in which drinking & driving was the key factor. These types of accidents take way too many innocent lives every year & they are completely avoidable. If you are going to drink, DONT DRIVE...it cant get any simpler.

I have two teen aged daughters, and I pray that this video is seen by teens everywhere. This should be shown in highschools and DUI classes. My prayers to Jacqueline.

This is the reason it makes me absolutely sick that celebrities get away with drunk driving without any reprecussions whatsoever. A 2 day prison sentence for Paris hilton... Come on, lock her up for 20 years. But they'll never do that, and most people probably consider that harsh, but it's only harsh until you or one of your loved ones suffers for their negligence.
Drunk Driving sentences should be 20 years minimum regardless of victims, maybe that'd convince people to call a cab.

In the olden times, a drunk could ride a horse or horse-drawn buggy slowly and safely home and be insensate and let the animals steer themselves. Now, the machines will destroy lives if people cannot stay awake and alert to keep them safe. My heart goes out to that poor girl. May God have mercy on her.

i lost a childhood friend in a drunk driving accident. The jeep she was a passenger in went around a turn to fast and rolled, ejecting her from the car and the jeep wound up on top of her. The people responsible who were drunk happen to live. I hope they learn. We all have skeletons, but I wish i could have my friend back. She was 15 and left a pep rally at school at 2pm in the afternoon that one day. Miss you emily ;-(

one day everything is perfectly normal, few moments later your life is destroyed, it's terrible. Here were I live young people drink and die a lot on saturday night, every week it's a massacre, hearing the news it's like hearing a war bulletin.

And it's most terrible when your not the one that drank, it's so terribly unfair.

I saw the same thing in Florida when a man brake-checked a woman driving with a baby. The baby flew through the windshield and the man's first reaction was to check for damage to his own car.

do u know guys what frustrates me the most, when u see someone and he is really fucked up and when u tell him u shouldn't drive, take a taxi or bus or whatever, and he says noooo i am not drunk, i am ok.

This car accident happened in Austin, Texas a few years ago. I would rather die in an accident like that rather than to live in pain and be disfigured for the rest of my life like that woman.
