Here is the audio transcript of this video:
Welcome to MyBinding video. Let's have a look at the Rhin-O-Tuff Onyx HDe4100 and the HD4170, two electronic coil inserters that work in tandem with the HD7000 punch. With that punch, you've punched through your entire project, organized, and now you're ready to bind.
From the Rhin-O-Tuff Onyx series comes two electronic coil inserters. The Onyx HD4170 has a built-in measuring guide right on the top of the machine. It allows you to pick the proper size coil for your size project. Once you've started the coil on the side of your book, turn the machine on and the roller takes over. The bottom roller is adjustable, three different sizes, to allow you to change between different size coils. Included with the machine is a pair of coil crimping pliers. Keep that dot facing up as you close off the ends of your book. These pliers make clipping and crimping very simple.
The 4170 as well as the HDe4100 both stand alone and can work with any punching system. However, with the MK2000 module mounting kit, you can set the machine and bolt it down right on top of any Rhin-O-Tuff OD or HD punch; just lock it down with a simple hand screw. If you're a single operator, it's a great space saver and keeps things together.
And now for the HDe4100, as it sits right there on the top, turn it on and run your coil all the way down. Finish off both ends with coil crimping pliers and you're all set.
There it is, two great coil inserters from the Rhin-O-Tuff Onyx line. For more demos, reviews, comparisons, and how-tos, check out MyBinding.com.
