hope it takes "emergency" water too, in case you run out of water. *unzips*

So how much energy is required to convert the H2O to HHO?

The second law of thermo dynamics state: "in all energy exchanges, if no energy enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the state will always be less than that of the initial state."

And how is that energy created? Gas/coal power plants?

So it is more polluting using this HHO-fuel than regular gasoline, since much energy must be used to create this fuel, and less energy will be in the HHO-fuel than what was required to make it.

We must steal the patent from us military-industrial complex. , or h2o cars will never be on the market.

Can we run our car with water and gas?

  • running your car on water is a scam

as a licensed mechanic of thirty years experience these comments offend common sense... you cannot run squat with this principle, physics dictate that you can't get more energy out of anything than you put in

this is a scam that will take your money and laugh don't be stupid and don't give them a dime !

in these hard time of high fuel costs, thieves like these flourish, don't be a victim

  • The economy runs on oil!

This is not new technology. The reason nobody has heard of hho is because it would cut into the profit margins of big oil companies. Follow the money trail and you will find the truth.

  • sure

I mean, sure, it can run 100s of miles on 4oz of water. But how much electricity does it take to convert that water to HHO? The ammount of electricity might be as expensive as using just gasoline.
People need to remember this fact about all electric, and alternative fuel cars. The process of converting the fuels into something that can be burnt requires alot of energy from a powerplant which still costs money and polution.

  • Did you people forget 10th grade chem?

This is a HOAX! There is no such thing as HHO. Hydrogen only has one valence electron, it can't bond to more than one atom. Moreover, if that thing does actually work, it's because he's basically using electrolysis to turn H2O into hydrogen and oxygen and then combusting the mixtures to create the flame, CO2, and water.

It's a basic hydrogen fuel cell.

This is so obviously a hoax for so

    • I'm with you

HHO? That's exactly the same as H2O, this is like that Dihydrogen Monoxide Hoax, what it look like? there's only one way 2 H atoms and one O atom could combine... I want more proof or I'm assuming its fake

    • idiot

wether or not it is a hoax, you are stupid.

HHO is H and HO-, not H20. That is like saying that CO2 2H2O is the same as CH4 202.
Wait, that is a combustion reaction and somehow stored ENERGY(much like in splitting up H20) comes out of the process creating heat. Hence COMBUSTION reaction.

Shut up and take a science class.

    • hahaha

      wow...
      did you even take chem?
      OH- is HO
      there is no difference
maybe he used electrolysis to split up the H2O into H2 and O then burnt it
but there is no such thing as HHO gas... well there is
but it's called Dihydrogen monoxide (AKA water)

besides this is FOX News reporting this
if it were real we would hear others reporting it too

By manofsky 1236708478 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • Oh...

      You mean HOH?

      Hohohoho!! xD

By lardhat 1213304401 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • Man...

Hydrogen has one valence electron. It can only bind to one atom. If it can bind to more than that, then it's not hydrogen.

But even if it could be possible in the mind of a sufficiently stupid person, h2o has no chemical energy. So if you want to make magical HHO then you have to add energy to it, and that would be achieved via electricity.

Electricity today is mostly made from oil around the worls.

Even if this stupid thing was possible, it would change nothing.

      This is very stupid...

  • Ancient Technology

This has been around for thousands of years and has been sold in China for at least 10 years. Mayans used to use a similar technique to purify gold, which is how they got it to be 99.9 percent pure. It is believed that thousands of years ago people used something similar to cut the blocks that made up the pyramids. There is even a statue in Mexico that shows an indian with what seems like a gun, and paintings at the same site that show an indian using the gun to cut blocks. I am glad to know that there is finally someone using the technology again but would hope that they would speak more of how it was used in the past.

  • Typical FOX News

They can't get thier facts straight. You cannot run a car engine on "water". If you believe that you can, I would like to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.

    • You're dumb

Dumber than a sack of crap... You break the water into hydro and oxygen, both of which are highly combustable

By vaxman 1195784553 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • Not really

The writer ie correct. You cannot "burn" water. there is no HHO gas. What is burning is the breakdown product of electrolysis, H2 and O2. What the idiots at Fox neglect to discuss is that it takes more energy to split the water molecules than you get back by burning them.

All this does is shift the burning of fossil fuels from the engine to the power plant that provides the electricity to split the water molecules.

but that wouldn't sell as many commercials. Fair and balanced my *ss.

  • The car doesn't run on water.

It runs on hydrogen which is liberated from the water. It takes more energy to liberate the hydrogen than you get back (due to losses and inefficiency), so this isn't a substitute for gas.

The video claims it can reduce our depencence on oil. That is nonsense. It just uses the oil to break the water into hydrogen and oxygen. The energy doesn't change.

Yes, it moves the polution to the location of the energy conversion, so cities would be cleaner. But it doesn't provde any energy. The energy still has to come from somewhere.

    • but..

didnt he say something about a 'special' form of electrolosis? i agree, i dont think he found the solution to cold fusion, but what if someone started with a fuel cell to get that initial start, and then ran it with the water. would that work?

  • Absolutley wonderful engineering!

If that really can work as good as gasoline, then we can leave the middle east at some point. If more people buy this, that will great for us politically and economically.

  • .

Even if he used a catalysator to split H2O to HHO, it would be a very dangerous mixture and unsafe for transport, as it easily turns into H2O again.
And even with catalysator, he'd need an energy input to split the stuff. This might be normal environmental temperature in best case.

  • This video is biased

It doesn't show you the difficulty and cost of electrolysis (splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen).

Ask yourself this: if it's so easy to just run a car with water, why aren't there such commercial cars, why is the US still fighting the costly war in Iraq? The answer is: it's not yet an effective and usable technology!

By random_comment 1193535248 Reply Spam [-2] Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • Hah

"why aren't there such commercial cars, why is the US still fighting the costly war in Iraq?"

The real answer is MONEY. George W. Bush is heavily involved in the oil industry. Very little money is actually being spent to fund alternative fuel research. While this video is certainly biased, it's much more possible than you think. The impossible part is that while ole Dubya is in office, we won't be seeing this technology replace gasoline, which comes from oil, which keeps our president and his buddies more wealthy than you could imagine.

    • True

There was a man some 10-20 years ago that worked on this same technigue using a refined method of electrolysis. He claimed to have created a method that used less energy to break the water than it produced. Think he also patented it.
This is an old video so something should have come up if this was legit. But then again any invention greated in America usually ends up being stolen by the goverment.

By Jonsse 1193540015 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
    • True

It takes as more electrical energy to split water using electrolysis than you get from burning it back. Otherwise it would be free energy, a myth in the physical world.
