The song is called
Tears in Heaven. Clapton wrote it about the loss of his 4-year old son Connor. Connor died in 1991 after falling from a 53rd-storey window of a New York City apartment building; at a mother's friend's place. He landed on the roof of a lower four-story building, but did not survive.
