XP at 2020?!
that means: you should format the HD and your watch each month.

The Pen Keyboard already exists today.
In 2020 its more likly we will be using bio storage, like how our brain stores info.
Holographic memory can store up to 1 Terabyte of info in a sugar-cube-sized crystal, this tech should be in the market by 2010.

this looks like a commercial - great graphics guys, kudos on the effort, but god damnit, couldn't you of at least used your brains- if the projection is nice on the wall, why are there refresh rates, i haven't seen no projector with a refresh rate, why is the keyboard bright red. If the screen can be projected, obviously a realistically looking keyboard can be done too, right. Didn't bother to watch the rest of the video. Once again, nice effort.

first there is no mouse. second, you will have to have 2 perpendicular flat surfaces and the docking bay. i can't believe you got $328 for this.

obviously XP wont be used in 2020!! this vid isnt from the future, thats just what they used for the video! cmon, in the future were gonna have nicer operating systems, and i dont se why every1 complains about XP im happy with it!

things wrong:

1)windows xp in 2020

2) a screen only flashes like that monitor if is giving out light (here it's reflecting) so that was photoshop.

3) your typing posture is wrong and you are typing randomly

4) i have one of those pens at home.

5) from the angle the keyboard is projected, your hand should cast a shadow on the keyboard(but here there is no shadow)

6) using A LITHIUM ION battery to project a whole screen?

7) what about the sound?

8) AND OH YEA WHERE IS THE MOUSE?

There are that type of keyboards already. A pen-pc isnt going to replace desk pc:s for a loooooong time. Aaaand Bluetooth isnt going to be used anymore in the 2020 ^^ aaaaaaand physical screens and keyboards and mices arent going anywhere for a long time either. Screens come flatter, better, bigger, cheaper ect.

I have try that keyboard and you can try your self how it feels to tipe to table. And how you you that mouse in the screen?

Most people loose pens. It's hard to loose a laptop, but my pen can fall out of my pocket, sometimes too small is a bad thing. I'll settle with something the size we have already but actually works without any errors EVER!

i would never believe this...how would infared have those little bars go around the screen...the whole thing is probably a projection..that is what i think

HDs will disappear.
In near future (maybe 7-10 years) there won't be HDs for users anymore. Everything will be saved on computers and sent to the users via internet. The connections will be so fast, that no one needs to take them with him, cause everything will be sent within seconds.

The keyboard is available now for $179??? Fitting it all CPU in a pen? Probably doable in the very near future (2-3 years), but don't expect to run Microsoft Windows on it, you will need a table-size powerhouse to run anything Microsoft, at any point in the future :)

Maybe in 2020 we won't use computer at all anymore and we will actually make full use of the capacity of our own brains!!!!

If the keyboard is projected that means if you try to type on it, it will just shine on top of your fingers. like when you walk in front of an overhead. So I think the keyboard (and who knows, maybe even the 'monitor') was edited in...

the keyboard has existed for a couple of years. it was on "pimp my ride" axon technologies will have a terabyte of memory out in 17 months. the screen being projected has been around for a long time. soon probably at this pace, in a year or two, all of these will probably be put together into the size of a mac mini. i believe you projection of 2020 was more o less based on linear progress, yet we live in exponential times.

If we all make it to 2020 we will not be using keyboards at all.
We just Think our words on the screen.
And our Minds will be the Grafix Card when playing Games.
Hopefully medicine will reach this area and improve the Hearts af people so we dont have heart attacks when we play games due to the realism.
HD DVD will be of the past when we have 360HD Movies where we are in the movie with them. If you all keep an Eye on my new animations i might do a Cartoon about the Crazy future

all of the technology showed there exists(or will) but I'm not sure it will be able to fit in a pen. I think you should give the future a little more slack and say a pocket pc sized device would be able to do that.

XP is feasible. It's the downgrade option from Microsoft's future OS: Windows SuperUltimate ME edition. :)

These Technology's are already out. The only problem is batteries have a long long way to go. Maybe by the year 2050 we will be able to power something so small and powerful like this. As for holographic storage. I don't think so. Solid State Storage will be kicking on for a lot longer and its many many times faster. We will change from silicon to diamond around 2025 and you will be able to fit over 1000TB on your fingernail.

Go back to XP., because Vista is so bad.

The pens of the future have everything. Excluding one single thing. You can't write with them on a paper

... any way.. the video is like a 1960s scifi movie ... doesnt impress me ...

..the idea of the "pen" and the mobile storage, but I really think it will be hard for people to accept typing continuously on a flat, hard surface. I like the feeling of the keys on a keyboard, and ergonomically speaking it is nice to have a comfortable peripheral. And I hate touchpads. Gimme a real mouse, or better yet a surface computer. The real future of computers is going to be a mix of surface computing and miniaturization. Desktops and even laptops as we know them will be relics in 20 - 50 years.

Just like Zanzuken stated, this is actually current technology. 2020 tech will be bio based for sure. Data would not be stored within the atoms, but using atoms. Big Difference here.

Bluetooth, even if it has a cool name, is just old fashionned technology with addressing capabilities. I strongly hope we can achieve better than 100 year old radio transmission technology by the year 2020.
