Easy 9 Multiplication (Using Your Mind)
I know an easy way to multiply 9 by a number from 1-10. The way to do it is to first take the number other than 9 in the equation and subtract one from it. From that number figure out what number you need to add to get to nine and you'll get it.

Ex. 9x7 -One down from 7 is 6
-From 6 to get to 9 you need to
add 3.
-Put them side-by-side to get 63

I think I have too many fingers???
I did what ya showed me....but when I multiplyed 9x9....I got 82....I know it's suposed to be 81...but I get 82. Thank god I got my hands slapped when I tried to multiply or add with my fingers when I was a kid!

  Multiply the fingers that remain standing, don't add. That way in 9x9 you have 8 fingers down with one standing on each hand, so that's 1x1 = 1. So your total is 80 1 = 81.

  This method gives the correct answer to
  6 x 6, this is how.
  
  Step 1.
  Put down both thumbs because each thumb represents a six. Any finger or thumb that is down is worth 10, so two thumbs down is 20.
  Step 2.
  Now four fingers remain standing on each hand so that is 4 x 4 = 16.
  Step 3.
  Add the results from step 1 and 2 to give the answer = 20 16 = 36, which is the correct answer.
