Classic Game Room reviews THE QUEST, a 3D RPG adventure game for the iPod which is like 1980's PC role playing games! DOPE! Published by Chillingo (same folks who published iDracula) and produced by Redshift, THE QUEST is a 5 1/4" floppy disc style masterpiece. Create your stereotypical RPG character, give them a name, choose from a variety of races, strap on some armor and weapons and then accept quests. Slaughter robbers, amazons, ogres, cyclops and skeletons. This game is friggin' hype. This CGRHD review of THE QUEST on iPod has gameplay footage recorded in HD from iPod Touch, The QUEST playes on iPhone and iPod Touch and is available for download from iTunes for a modest fee. The Classic Game Room character is ZAXZON and he's an undead who wants to massacre monsters, drink mash rum and beer and hook up with ladies. And you know what... it can all be done in The Quest. Fans of 1980's role playing games like Bard's Tale and Ultima will relish this game while younger gamers should find a compelling and complex game contained within your little iPod. Remember when we'd crash 286 computers with monster games like this that stretched across 5 floppy discs??? The iPod is awesome and the Quest is perfectly suited for it. Beware, it will suck your life away as you level up your character and drain the iPod battery in record time crunching all of the weather effects and 3D rendering. Whatever, QUEST-ahoy! Classic Game Room reviews iPod Touch and iPhone games as an independently non-certified iPod reviewer reviewing iPod and iPhone games with award spinning journalistic style. The Quest is a 3D RPG app video game for iPod. Watch this review for a review of the game, see the map of the game and check out Zaxzon.
Sears Tele-Games Video Arcade review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR shirts & hats! http://www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room reviews the SEARS TELE-GAMES VIDEO ARCADE game system from 1977, the Sears branded version of the classic Atari 2600. Sears was the place for electronics in the late '70s (well, Sears and Radio Shack) and they worked with Atari to launch their own classy game system, the Sears Video Arcade! Enjoy Tele-Games brand games like Tanks-Plus which is basically Combat except it has the Sears brand on it!! The Sears Video Arcade has that familiar Atari 6-switch styling but with Tele-Games branding on top, Video Arcade branding on the front, a rich walnet-style wood grain finish and silver trim. Serious collectors should enjoy having this amazing piece of video game history in their collection, and it plays great games!!
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR hats & mugs! http://www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room reviews FAR CRY 3: BLOOD DRAGON for Xbox 360, also available for PlayStation 3 PS3 and PC! All hail the '80s action movies like Predator, The Terminator, Robocop, Tron, Rambo, Die Hard and The Karate Kids because it's Hot Shots Part Deux the video game, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon! This parody of the post-nuclear war '80s vision of the future is a standalone downloadable game that plays like a smaller, sillier Far Cry 3. Basically, the designers used the same assets and made everything look like Tron. Enjoy an amazing musical score reminiscent of Aliens, The Terminator and Predator as well as Michael Biehn's hilarious acting, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is rad!
