- Yes, you need paper to make custom paper
  ...unless of course you know how to make your own wood/paper pulp (which requires some pretty nasty chemicals.)
  
  The idea here is to make your own custom paper...it has a nice rustic texture and look...and using recycled paper is the easiest way to do it (and it's dirt cheap)

  my eyes are burning. mummy. i didnt read the warnings on the chemical can "hazardous!" help!
  i will try this with old news paper. anyway i dont even get a dime also for 12 pounds for old news paper. laid unused. thanks! dont try to get a clean crusty white paper and have fun!

- With a paper shredder
  You don't need to use a shredder though. You can cut the scrap paper with scissors or just rip it into smaller pieces.
