Ohno Odyssey review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR shirts & mugs! http://www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Ohno Odyssey on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS developed and published by Big John Games. The Ohno aliens are in trouble, and because this is a video game, it’s your job to help them. Also because they don’t have legs. Released to the eShop on the Nintendo 3DS, Ohno Odyssey is a physics-based acton-puzzler for fans of The Incredible Machine and Mouse Trap. In each of the game’s 35 levels, you’re tasked with returning the Ohno to its spaceship. The catch is that they can’t walk—they’re round little space blobs, so they roll. Players must manipulate the level and create a path that will get them to the exit. Each level gives you certain items to work with, from ramps and cannons to fans and oil slicks, and solving the level with items remaining scores you a huge bonus. Ohno Odyssey encourages creativity, as well, since many levels can be solved in multiple ways. There’s no “wrong” in Ohno Odyssey. There’s just bumps in the road on the way to being right. Hometown Story review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR shirts & mugs! http://www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hometown Story for Nintendo 3DS developed by Toybox Inc. and published by Natsume. Hometown Story takes the capitalism-based shop management of the 2010 smash hit Recettear, and pares it down rather drastically. This production, with a list of AAA names in the world of Japanese game development, discards the notion of RPG-style dungeon delves for materials in favor of scrounging around town, finding fruit on the ground, and obtaining most of your wares from a travelling merchant and/or other shopkeepers in your town. This video review features video gameplay footage of Hometown Story for Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
