All this animals are have the same disease call "Mad cow disease". I have see it happen on humans too. at 'Bar" they end up all died.

This is from a documentary called "Beautiful People." It is about animals in the Kalahari desert and is pretty funny and entertaining. One of the funniest pieces I remember about it is the warthog on his wedding day. I think you can find it on DVD now. Check it out. Its a full length feature.

In the movie, Animals are Beautiful People by Jamie Uys, released in 1974, some scenes were shown where elephants, warthogs and monkeys got drunk from eating fermented marula fruit. Later research showed that these scenes were improbable and, in all probability, staged. Elephants would need a huge amount of fermented marulas to have any effect on them, and other animals prefer the ripe fruit. The amount of water drunk by elephants each day would also dilute the effect of the fruit to such an extent that they would not be affected by it.

amarula doesn't make more than 3 % of ethanol (alchool) and it takes almost 50 liters of 7% alchool to get drunk an elephant.. It's a little toxic bug who lives on amarula's trees that makes the animals ¨drunk¨
