Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Guitar Hero: Metallica (Part 2) from Budcat Creations and Activision for the Nintendo Wii. Guitar Hero: Metallica is also available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2. Guitar Hero: Metallica is an interesting rhythm game in that it compensates for its shortcomings with the one thing that matters — playing guitar. It doesn't have the polish and grandeur of The Beatles: Rock Band, and in terms of content, it can't compete with newer releases, either. But for those of a particular musical persuasion, there's simply never been a rhythm game more fun to play than this one. This video review features video gameplay footage of Guitar Hero: Metallica for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek. Saints Row IV review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR shirts & mugs! http://www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Saints Row IV for the PlayStation 3 developed by Volition, Inc. and published by Deep Silver. The Saints, one of the most dangerous gangs in the history of open-world games about gangs, are back! Only this time, they hang out in the Oval Office and kind of run the world. So when aliens come down and mess up the White House lawn, the Saints are understandably angry. Save the world and hire a landscaper in Saints Row IV, an over-the-top action game that makes Grand Theft Auto seem a bit too tame in comparison. You play as the President of the United States, and it’s up to you to battle the alien jerks. And by “battle,” we mean blow them out of the sky with ludicrously overpowered weapons. Saints Row IV allows you to create your character with an incredibly detailed editor, as well as share your creation with players around the world. Clothes are optional in Saints Row IV, but destruction is not. This open-world mayhem simulator combines GTA with inFamous for a one-of-a-kind hybrid that never takes itself too seriously. Saints Row IV features single, local and online multiplayer play. This video review features video gameplay footage of Saints Row IV for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
Tetris Plus review. http://www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR shirts & mugs! http://www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Tetris Plus for PlayStation developed by Natsume and published by Jaleco. Tetris Plus is a strange kind of Tetris game. The union of Natsume and Jaleco (and having nothing to do with either Harvest Moon or Bases Loaded), it breaks its own solidly codified conventions slightly in an odd speed-up system that ramps up much faster than other Tetris games you might be familiar with. On the flip side, there's a puzzle mode that introduces a pith-helmet-wearing professor and his eager assistant, trapped by various constructions of blocks, and fearing the ever-present crush of a spiked ceiling. Fortunately, you can make things disappear, because it's still Tetris at its core. This video review features video gameplay footage of Tetris Plus for PlayStation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
