I don't hate Schumacher. I just think his opportunities were placed on a plate after the most talented drivers, in that early 90's era, either died, retired, or came to USA for racing. Another opinion is that Micheal is not a racing driver..he is a F1 driver taking advantage of the political situation with the FIA and Eccelstone. Most drivers attend different meets, ie, Le Man 24 hour or Daytona 24. If I am not mistaken, the F1 driver Schumacher has never contested other forms of racing at his prime.

I haven't seen this one. Do you know where I can see it? As far as the Enzo, I was referring to the mid-engine design. The Maranello (a fine piece of art) is front-engine and can be a handful around the corners. That is all I meant. The Enzo would've had quicker accereration out of the corners and better balance. REMEMBER..these videos give the slower cars headstart based on lap times. All cars should be close to each other at the very end and the F1 will always finish first due to their unbelievable power-band.

Regardless, the videos demonstrate that the F1 cars are superior in all aspects compared to different forms of World Class auto racing.

What I mean by "Match Race" is each car's times are measured, then they are given the appropriate head-start based on those times. Videos are, basically, publicity stunts. All the cars get close to each other at the end and the fastest cars always overtake the slowest, in the approriate manner. F1 still rules, though.

Second of all, that was one of the fastest road going ferraris at the time, plus nowadays, the old V10 F1 would still beat any road car. It nots top speed, as the Enzo is faster, but it cant go round the corners as fast as an F1 car

An F1 car could blow away any street car (well, except maybe the Bugatti Veyron or Koenigsegg CCX, MAYBE) in top speed with the right gears. If you don't have the right gears and final drive ratio balanced for your engine and drag coefficient, your aren't going to hit the top speed that you could. Gear an F1 car right, strip off the downforce, and I bet they'd top 250.

just pointing out you have a video with an old Ferrari F399 used on the 1996 season driving against a 575 M Modificato from 2002. So they did the test with an old car, still faster than todays new V8´s F1, which as well have less electronic assistance than back then, thats all I wanted to point out. Das ist alles!

The Ferrari in this video is not a Enzo, but it is a 550 Maranello, and it has about 150hp less than Enzo...before speak, active your brain, otherwise, shut up, it is better...

formula 1 cars cost 10-20 million each i hear...there is a reason. they weigh INCREDIBLY little and go INCREDIBLY fast. do people really know that f1 cars have huge restrictions on them as well. no car on the planet can touch them on a road course. those who play gran turismo know the difference. you point an f1 car where you want to go, and it goes there, TOTALLY unlike production cars. oh yeah, their aerodynamic package would enable you to drive upside down if it were in a cylinder. ;D

in the british show top gear they test arround their track supecars. ferarri enzo did a lap in 1 minute 19 seconds, the renault f1 car did it in under one minute, so the f1 is a lot faster

i'm surprised it was that "close". that's right at 33% faster. granted the enzo is awesome, BUT, an f1 car is not only in another league, but another league above that!

especialy the handling, f1 is really really light weight and low on the gound, u can make a tight turn at 160km/s. f1 has special computer chip to control the power output to gain max stability and speed.

look, in the time senna was getting old, and this young kid michael shumacher was too much for him. senna ordered williams to make the steering struts thinner so they would be lighter, the bad thing was that the steering coloumn broke and he went str8 into the wall. indirectly he killed himself!!

You are wrong, the steering column theory was based on telemetry from the car showing he steered hard and the car went in a perfectly straight line. It was later shown that his car was too low. Its why they have wooden planks under the cars now.
