It was never proven that he was taking steroids and dont say "Duh, he so buff, he eat steroids, for breakfast, duh?". He got that way by working out, and in the documentary his agent said that if he was taking steroids he was completely unaware of it because his father would of blended it into his health shakes. However, i watched the documentary too and the argument was that it was physically impossible for a child to develop muscle tone like this. These testimonies came from medical experts on the matter who said that a childs body does not have the capability of developing muscles of this kind no matter how much working out they do. However they could not prove that his father had been feeding him steroids for whatever reason. It is good that his father is now out of his life and he can now enjoy a childhood of sorts. Albeit a bit late. It is not dumb of people to automatically assume that this child has been fed steroids, it is a natural assumption to make and even medical experts were jumping to this conclusion. He may have developed this body through working out under his fathers regime, but it cannot be proven either way.

I've seen the hole documentary on this child, his father was a body builder who made him work day and night, he couldnt go outside unless it was for a doctors appointment or to one of these shows or things like that, he wasnt allowed to have foods like pizza or hamburgers or anything else like that, he was kept at less then 10% body fat even below what most body builders have before going on stage, he was at searious risk of his health.

I saw a documentary on this and the whold family refused to comment on wether the kid took steriods, or testosterone suppliments. But his father gave him "special" nutrient shakes in the morning. After the parents split up the kid is now some way to being normal. But he has still got more muscles then a beach in Morecambe. Yeah I saw a special on that kid, its really sad, his Dad was mean and abusive to him, took all his money he earned and he made him drink protein shakes all the time and follow a strict diet, the poor kid had never even been allowed to eat pizza his whole life. This is product of a genetical mutation in genes that control muscle development.
From wikipedia:
Richard is believed to be born with a defective gene which encodes the "myostatin" gene. Normally, humans are born with a certain amount of muscle cells. The myostatin protein, "myo" for muscle, "statin" for static, prevents muscle cells from replicating in humans.
