DIY : 1$ Popcorn Machine

you know there is a thin plastic skin inside? so i suggest you should put the can under the fire to burn off the plastic and then wash it

Problem is most cans contain a super thin plastic liner to prevent acidic soda form reacting with the aluminum can so you would be eating melted plastic in the canola oil here.
not so good.

Combine this with the Cool Little Miniature Stove, and you've got a great backpacking trip ahead of you.

just think about it how would it work?? how would you catch the popcorn??? it would be like 1 bite worth of popcorn... dont get me wrong tho its a cool idea

there is definitely a "point of no return" with this... i.e. 3 tsp of corn kernels is optimal. Add too much corn, and it will just burn. Also, if the hole in the can isn't big enough, the popped kernels will jam and clog the can, and the rest will burn. Experiment.

It's gd if u need a portable one but i have a proper popcorn maker

That's what we did in the big house, once a week on Friday nights the warden would pick 5 lucky inmates to get a can of soda. Those of us that got them would try to smuggle them back to our cells so we could use them to make popcorn. How did we get the popcorn you might ask, well we traded smokes for it. How did we get smokes. We had our family bring them in for us. In the pen cigs are like cash.

how long would it take for the popcorn to fully be done poping if it was place over a normal candle with the flame barely touching it
