    I've seen this before, I opened it up in paint and took a bit of each square, and they are the exactly the same. Like the title says.. its an "Illusion" As for the animation, 5 stars

      All you have to do is cut a hole in a piece of paper and hold it in front of the picture.1st on one square, then the other.You can see that they are the same then..

    does not hold true, the checkerboard has alternating squares with A being in the grey and B in the white, the illusion is in the explanation.
