In this episode we show you how to charge your iPod (or other mp3 player) for up to 20 minutes using electrolytes derived from Gatorade or Powerade which are then stored within the cells of an onion.
You will need:
1. 1 White onion
2. 2 cups of Gatorade
3. Screwdriver
4. iPod and USB cable
Check out our website! http://householdhacker.com
Disclaimer: This and other videos produced by HouseholdHacker are controlled experiments performed by professionals and unless you are an expert should NOT be attempted at home if you don't know what you are doing!
I save about $10 bucks on electricity every month, after substracting the price of the onions and the energy drinks.
By gandalf117 1195917317FYI: This does not work. The only thing you will end up with is a ruined usb cord.
FYI: None of the Household Hacker tutorials actually produce results -- unless you consider ruined electronics to be "results"
I enjoy comedy as much as the next person, but not when it comes at the expense of others (and their electronic devices).
I ll show you guys how to charge your car using milk.
Okay seriously... this video is BS
guess why he folded his USB cords around and placed the ipod on top? He used two different USB chords!! one was really connected to the ipod but was hidden behind the folder or book(w/e black thing he put the ipod on top) and another was not connected to the ipod. Then when he punch the chord that was not connected into the onion the other hand he connect the USB that is actually connected to the ipod to the computer. Once again these two USBs were hidden and switched under the ipod and the folder or binder thing!
Don't waste your time doing this crap!
FYI:your just gonna ruin the usb cable
FYI:we people are not in the stone age anymore unlike u
.
I wanna see whats underneath it! ;) nice video, but it would be better if youd place the wire falling down the table and the other one coming up, tie them to appear that it is circling into the onion, this way you dont need the box, anyways great video, gave me a nice laugh
By Mike Davis 1197520277if this even generates power (which i doubt it can) it would supply power to the data line on the usb as well
By Rocketman221 1197317172ill have to give you credit for the ambition to make these videos. but im still going to report you for vegetable abuse. in fairness my report to the folks at gatoraide and poweraide will relieve them from any responsibility in the onion abuse case but there may be problems with the battery folks for unauthorized use of electrolytes. id also advise no one to try this as there is a possibility to activate a gram negitive condition in the onion with resulting power spike that will wipe out the devices hard drive.
