Printers are one of the most popular home & office tools in the world, because they are inexpensive, yet highly versatile. But the ink costs more than the printers in some cases, well learn how you can refill at home right now for only $5 !
People need to know that they don't have to pay a LOT of money for something they can get cheap and easy , that's why i produced this video ! i hope you all enjoy it !
By akamakavely 1195366910 Reply Spam [+15] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBut rest assured there's going to be some dumbass that said such things tear up their printer! For those dumbasses, if they'd do some research, they would learn the right way to do things. You get 5 stars dude and wished we could give ya more than that.

By svilack 1195494738 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHow did you find which pins to cover with electrical tape? I have a Lexmark printer too, but it's not the exactly the same cartridges, however they look very similar.
By magickam 1195486586 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeand you'll find all the info you need on what pins to cover with something like scotch tape.
By rafflorida 1195520012 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeusualy the pins in the low middle ! but u can google more information !
By akamakavely 1195528160 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removenot original ones for 3eur
and they broke my printer
now the cian doesnt work
may be will try this
is it for any HP cartridge too?
5s from me
HP better be refilled from top. Remove label, stick needle about 15 mm inside and fill it full. Simple.

By mollema 1195394265 Reply Spam [+5] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeit worked. I could confirm. Actually it's a great info
By sinisa10 1195445109 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis will save tons of money
By stevenscorsese 1195439843 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCool info... I almost threw mine out. Now I can refill the blasted thing. It's a shame that companies make it cheaper to buy a new printer than it is to buy replacement cartridges. I loved it when you could just refill a cartidge before they added the stupid ink level checkers.
By babblin5 1195411117 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI did it with Epson as well. 5*****
By mezon 1195460801 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removelong time now cause i print at least 500pages/month. However i have to mention that:
1) this method dos not apply for every printer. (e.g. Epson cartridges have to be refilled in totally different way).
2) The colour ink lacks quality no matter what brand u buy. The original is the best. There is no problem with the black.
3) if u refill a colour cartridge and dont use it for a long time the head will soon get dry and is quite difficult to make it work again.
Apart from that i definately suggest to refill the cartridges instead of buying new ones. Think that at the same time you protect the enviroment as well ;-) 5*
for a great tip! You uploaded this video at very good time, because my printer cartridge is almost empty! :D 5 stars.

I have done this with my HP many a times. My two cents... Make the hole on the top of the cartridge instead. Just in case the tape comes loose so the ink wont run down the printer. Also if you run some hot water by the metal contacts for a minute (before refilling) the printer will think its a new cartridge. This works for HP I know.
By NYCLEE 1201859510 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemy dell printer looks exactly the same - has anyone tried this on a dee cartridge?
By dd611 1201332431 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeworks best for this?
By blakeness 1201210069 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have the same cartridges/printer and was wondering If there was a more affordable way to refill them.
This definitely worked for me and thanks so much for the awesome tip!
great vid 5 stars... but where do you get ink?
By ilikecars 1199419514 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut is often a better choice for my money and our Earth. If I need top quality or if I am lazy, i buy new cartridges. EU directives were set in motion in 2004 to outlaw the chips that prevent re-use of cartridges. Search for "Killer chip EU printer refill directive"
By CoCreatr 1199196473 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThey make refill kits and you dont have to poke a hole in the side but in the top. Or get a laser printer, they print thousands of copies.
By cowsgonemadd3 1195502620 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveVery useful tips for saving lot of money...thanks for the IDEA, by the way which model are you using?
By tycoyoken 1195498580 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI dont really trust the electrical tape to keep that hole plugged. Wouldnt superglue do just as well, if not better for that? Still need the tape on the pins though.
By E-Z Tweaks 1200518596 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe cartridges sometimes cost more for the bigger laserjet printers yeah...and they don't even use ink, they use fine powder
there are shops all over the UK called "cartridge world" where you can go get your old cartridges filled up for a fraction of the price of a new set of cartridges
He didn't even install the cartridge into the printer at the end. He kinda just set it down in there... that would never work... :p (try to plug it in next time you plan on installing a cartridge)
Also - Most cartridges have a pencil eraser sized area on the bottom of the cartridge (sometimes top) that looks like it was a previous hole and has been glued shut. There is a plug behind the glue that you can screw a small screw into and pull the plug - then use a syringe to refill it and simply glue the plug back in. cleaner look... This is only with cartridges that have "print heads" attatched to them.
