    I just tried on my oldest, dullest scissors. I even cut a piece of paper beforehand as a test. Cut the foil as shown, and voila! Scissors are definitely sharper.

    Thanks for the tip. You just saved me a ton of money to get all of my scissors sharpened at the craft store.

    If that isn't the most useful household tip since getting dishes clean by filling a sink with hot soapy water! Dull scissors, yes, the bane of my existance! And the results!!! Sensational!! It cut paper like.....well, like paper. I have dull scissors in my kitchen. Do you know how they got dull? By cutting things they weren't designed to cut. Like foil. Well, I would love to stay and chat, but I have scissors to sharpen. God bless you helpful stranger, you have made the world a better place with your camera and your foil.
