those millions of vermin that you are so worried about would generally be getting killed in the combines that are harvesting wheat and soy to feed livestock!

The vegitarians i know are generally self sufficient, grow ther own vegies and basically do there best not to harm any other living thing.

That comment I posted is not flawed at all. I would like you to point out where I said I am worried about those animals. The comment that I posted clearly stated and I quote "At least we're eating the animals we kill (and although we also contribute to the slaughter of animals during grain harvesting, keep in mind that we're not the ones with a moral qualm about it), not just leaving them to rot in a field somewhere." My comment clearly states that I understand that eating meat will also kill the various small animals during grain harvesting but meat eaters like me do not have a moral qualm about it. Also... why is it that the moral vegetarians (not the ones who do it for health or religeous purposes) feel that they are "LIMITING THE SUFFERING"? Unles the vegetarians plant their own crops like your friends do, they aren't limiting any of the suffering. I mean they know deep down that they could help limit a whole lot more suffering, but they've chosen not to. They've chosen not to because your lifestyle is too convenient, and they'd have to give up too much, but nevermind that--they have a conscience to feel good about, and they can't let a little thing like millions of violent deaths of field animals get in the way of their moral trip. Limit the suffering? That's like me saying I'm going to eat meat only 364 out of 365 days of the year in an effort to "limit" the suffering, I'm doing my part to prevent suffering. "BUT, YOU COULD LIMIT A LOT MORE SUFFERING BY NOT EATING MEAT AT ALL!!!" Exactly, and vegetarians could limit a lot more suffering by planting their own crops (like your firends), but where do you draw the line? They claim to have compassion for animals, but just as soon as it gets too inconvenient they decide to call it quits? Cowards. They're no better off; not in my book. A murderer who kills 10 people is no better off than a murderer who kills 20 if the murder is avoidable.

I think this advert has deeper aims. Not everyone is born with empathy. That apeal to compassion does not always work, as in your case. This advert hits at it from another angle. It is on the surface trying to make you feel empathy, but on a deeper level, I think it is saying, 'watch out! You maybe a target also!'
Now however hard you pretend to be over the internet, if i felt strong enough about the subject, your talk would not stop me from wacking you with a bat or indeed I probably wouldnt need a bat. So the risk is yours. There are maybe people out there who will do just that. Humans feel empathy for all different things and it is possible someone cares more about an animal, than putting a dent in your head :) Just informing you lol. Animal lovers are not always compassionate towards everything.
