I finally got a video card and started toying around with the Desktop Effects in Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon). By default there are two effects: Wobbly Windows and Workspaces on a Cube. If you want more effects/features, install the package compizconfig-settings-manager and run the program: ccsm. There are tons more effects and stuff that I don't like or just don't need.

The movie is a little jumpy in places due to frame drops in the screencasting program I was using. I also had a little trouble moving the cube around because I had enabled slow effects (Shift+F10) due to the frame dropping. For a normal user, moving the cube is not difficult at all.

Anyway, Vista sucks. Use Linux!
