Make high quality ring tones from music videos by recording to Windows Sound Recorder then clipping with Audacity.
Making ringtones doesn't infringe on copyrights says the US Copywright Office.
Depending on your provider take the MP3 and email it/bluetooth transfer/usb transfer it to your phone. My phone I had to use a USB cable to transfer mp3s.
For cingular (probably att) send mp3s attached to: email@example.com (all 10 digits)
This method could be used at youtube, launch, aol music, google video, ect. to record any sound. Dont hold me responsible if you get into any legal trouble, as far as I can tell it's legal, no private people have EVER been to court over ring tones.
EDIT: Easier idea. Select "stereo mixer" from the menu below the record button, press record. Goes direct to audacity. Much easier!
