Wong Mew Choo once again slain a Chinese player in the finals of the China Open 2007. This time around, world number 1, Xie XingFang is her victim. Mew Choo played above herself to upset XingFang in a evenly contested finals where Mew Choo eventually won, 21-16,8-21,21-17. This is Mew Choo first international victory and her first Super Series title as well. She hasn’t won a grand prix title before, but this China Open victory will be her most outstanding achievement thus far. We hope she can maintain her good performance and bring this performance to next year’s Olympics in Beijing.
