    I am frought with this kind of "that was too easy" feeling, but most times, that a good thing! Though I'm sure people will complain about that itty bitty staple on the bag (people who don't watch mythbusters), but all in all, it's a good idea. Nice job and Thanx.

    • I've been popping corn this way...

      for several years and have made hundreds of these bags of popcorn as has thousands of other people on Instructables.com (where I originally posted it) and zero reports of the staple sparking. As you can see in the video, the staple did not spark. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting you claim. But it does make me wonder what kind of staple were you using? I use standard office staples like they sell at any dollar store and office supply store.
