      The Zonda was designed by the same man who designed the Countach and the Diablo, Horacio Pagani, and the Lamborghini Murcielago was designed by Lamborghini and had no influence by its current owner, Audi. Don't you morons know what you're talking about before you start making fools of yourselves?

      Horacio was born in Argentina.His first project was a "monkey bike " that he built whaen he was about 8yrs old.In his teens he desighned and build a formula 1 type car. He moved to Italy where he started working for Lamborghini as an apprentice mechanic.He soon exelled and became involved in design and manufacture.He wanted to use a new material - carbon fibre -on the Lambo's ,but Lambo was not interrested in this technology. Pagani then left Lambo and started his own venture.The Zonda was born with a carbon fibre body and a powerfull AMG 7.3l V12 powerplant from his mate at Merc.
      Horacio has also designed a hi-fi in the Zonda fasion(valve amp etc) and a limeted edition Pagani watch(45k Euro) . Thought I'd add my 2 cents....

      Lambo was bought by Audi ,yes- that does not make it a German car.It made it a better ingeneered car.As we know ,Italian cars weren't known for their reliability ,but rather their styling. Where the Germans are well known for their flawless engineering. And that my fellow petrol heads ,is why the new generation (German engineered) Lambo's are so much more advanced then their (Italian engineered) predecesors , I think ?

      The Zonda is Italian but has engines made by AMG (performance branch of Mercedes). The Lambo badge is owned by Audi AG and as such is technically german. Clarkson says it himself in the video just before it stops.

    i say that zonda is slightly better because of the rear wing and the aero+light weight and the lambo is bad cause it is fat heavy and its got a 6.2l engine and the pagani has a 7.1l engine and a engine of 5550 rpm and the lambo has uummm 7500 rpm?

    Pagani is an Agentinian guy that worked with Fangio (argentinian world F1 champion). He went to Italy, where he started his carrer working in Lamborghini (he was who gave lamborghini's door up design) then he decided to step away and built the Zonda. So, Lamborghini's originally Italian made by Italians, Pagani zonda was created by an Argentinian guy. I can't remember his first name, but Pagani is his last name. Lamborghini is the last name of his creator too I guess his first name was Salvatore if I remember right...not sure.

    The renowed hosts, are only renowed hosts by being commercial and parcial. They take sides very easly and you can see that in their fanatism by the british brands, like Aston Martin and Jaguar.

    The Lamborghini IS FASTER then the Zonda and BETTER in handling. So stfu about those stupid performance comments.

    The quality of a car istn determinade by what you read on a magazine while you shitting on a toilet.

    Facts are facts, and the Lamborghini is one of the best cars ever, proof of that, is its use in GT competitions, and its a very good car.

    While the Zonda, with all its super duper shitty techology, fails very quickly and it isnt (by far) a relieable car.

    And just for notice, have you seen the difference of application of power between the two cars? The lambo has to get a low-rpm start, but it doesnt need to be THAT low. He lost on porpuse. Anyone who has drove a lambor Murcielago knows that.



    Its nice to see all of those fancy new-gen techology on stupid cars that are useless, but in reality, cars lambo, ferrari, aston martin and such, are way better than this space-crap.

    The car isn't everything.The driver is very imoprtant too.The man in the lamborgini was talking and shifting the gears like it's something easy.There is no way you can do this and drive fast.If the lamborgini was driven by a real driver it would be a lot faster.So that's not a real competition.

      ... with lighter weight by 1200 lbs over the Veyron and nearly 900 horsepower. A drag race is nearly all power-to-weight and tire grip (assuming the driver can operate the clutch and apply throttle properly). I knew the Zonda was going to win this before I even saw it - the Lamborghini weighs too much, although I'd still rather have one of them than the Pagani.
