This is from a film called billabong odessy, released 2006, the surfer in question is called mike parsons, the film is great and shows the travelling the world searching for massive waves.

Where is this?. You get big waves like this in the South Island of New Zealand, off the Catlins coast, but you had better wear a wetsuit as it is bloody cold.
