  • Some Facts

@ $3.00 a gal US, this vehicle would save a company about 45,000 a year per unit.

This unit can tow up to just over 5,000lbs... in english... like a Tahoe.

This unit can pull it up, hill, down hill, sidewinding a hill... without even gearing down!

2 Companies have tried to duplicate this type of concept... 1 ended with a fatality, the other I'm not sure why.

Hey... if the cops use motorcycles to get to accidents, why can't the tow trucks???

Who moves out of the way for a tow truck when they are stuck in 4-6 lanes of stopped traffic??

So... cool new toy, cheaper on gas, faster at relieving traffic, and safe!!! Anything more? :)

  • Think deeper fellas

kk, of course this little guy won't be able to pull things out of a ditch. This thing was designed to resolve traffic jams. Think, broken down vehicle causing a bottleneck on a high way, thus causing a traffic jam and tow trucks can't go through. On the other hand, if you get a motorcycle weaving through the traffic (small enough to fit between cars), it would be able to removed the broken down vehicle. Faster than if a tow truck had to slowly make it's way through traffic to the broken down vehicle. Also, this is pretty old, saw it on Discovery channel last year.

    • I want one!

This is a great idea, I'd like to have one. It could make a guy a good chunk of change. People would call a towing service that had one of these purely for the asthetic value. Awesomeness.

    • It's possible

I drive a 1500 goldwing, and my wife and I tour the countryside pulling a tent trailer, for a total of more than 2000 pounds running, and we manage 70mph up and down hills with ease. The GL1800 (fuel injected) has even more pulling power. The comment about foul weather though is correct - it would be useless, but for most traffic stalls it would be fine.

    • neat concept, but...

worthless if said vehicle is in a ditch or poor weather conditions (snow, ice, heavy rain, strong winds).
