- Probably getting ready to die.
  This behavior is usually seen in distressed fish that are on the verge of dying. They might have a parasite or some type of fungus that affects the nervous system. Looks like a silver barb, or possibly a "kisser" species.

What F**k you all talking about
the fish is not a kisser species or a silver barb damn even a 2 year old could tell that..... It is a painted white skirt tetra and it's not neccesarily dying because it's swim bladder is screwed up some fish can live a long long time like that ok.
