    I plan to build it soon.

    Any thoughts about building one with a tilting head. I think it could be done with a cable, but haven't tried yet.

      I actually tried one with a tilt head and a cable but you need a very positive drive indeed!! Maybe something like a toothed power belt?? However what I have really found useful is to make the tubes "extendable" (one inside another ) like a tripod leg. That way you can tilt up or down!! If you do use a cable the tension has to be good or the tilt will be useless!!!

      I'm thinking too far ahead I guess. I should try building this first. That sounds a bit too difficult for me now and maybe I wouldn't even need a tilting head.
