you don't know their source code, you just uncheck the option they're given. if microsoft want to cheat u, they just put some secret code inside every os then no one know what they're doing. if you want to be save don't use windows at all, or better throw away your computer, and also ur phone,tv,radio...

???...they're not spying on anybody. they might be spying on their own software to ensure their are no bugs and it runs smoothly, but their are no technichians at Microsoft that sit around and read what kind of music people listen to...and even if they did the only item attachted to the data is an ISBN number not a name and adress...this is in no way spying or stealing of personal information and Microsoft has all the right in the world to be doing what they are. you guys just might have a liitle too much time on your hands and your using it to start conspiracy theories...and you refer tomicrosoft as "The Man"? theyre a software company not the government talk about paranoid

I am not a comp intellectual ... but I do like to play around with my machines
ever since i took a new HP Pavillion laptop ... life is no longer the same
It has pre-installed windows vista, moreso I dont have the option of installing any other windows version (unless i change the hardisk itself)
Vista has taken away a lot of freedom (not entirely legal stuff) i used to amuse myself with .. the new machine is a waste

Microsoft is not entitled to invade my privacy. But even if they did collect info on me, what are they going to do with it? They're just going to be overloaded with a bunch of worthless information, that's all! No reason to be paranoid about it.
