Jason Swain was, as millions around the World, shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely death of Steve Irwin. Jason was born and raised in the area around the Australia Zoo. He is one of the locals that watched as what began as a small Reptile exhibit, grow and expand to become one of the largest and most exciting Zoos in the world. The pride that Australia felt for Steve's accomplishments is one that goes a little deeper for the locals who watched this all unfold. When he heard the news of Steve's death, he knew that he had to create his own special tribute to Steve and his family. As an accomplished artist, it seemed only natural to express this with a painting of this dearly loved Aussie Icon, who had remained a regular bloke to the locals. This painting was motivated purely by his personal need to express his respect to Steve's family. What you see is a magnificent work of art that is the result of long hours and painstaking attention to each and every detail. It is a remarkable and unique rendition of a photo known to millions.
What you won't see, unless you have had the opportunity to speak with Jason, is the sincerity and heart that was applied with each and every brush stroke. This isn't just another beautiful painting....It is a painting that is three dimensional. It has beauty, it has depth, and most importantly, it has a heart that beats with the passion of the artist.
The painting was transported personally to the Zoo by Jason in February of 2007. It was Donated and presented before an audience in the Crocoseum at the Australia Zoo on February 20th. It is to be displayed at the Crocoseum, as the perfect tribute from one local bloke to another.
This beautiful Painting is now available in a "Limited Edition Print"
You now have the opportunity to own, what is sure to become a treasured reminder of the true Wildlife Warrior and Aussie Icon, admired and loved by millions throughout the Global community.
Each print produced will capture every intricate and painstaking detail of the original, which will be displayed at the Crocoseum as a permanent tribute to Steve.
The inspiration for this Tribute lives on; a portion of each copy sold will be donated to the "Wildlife Warriors" For complete details
