which video editing software are you using, i am using Ulead VideoStudio 10...but can't find explosing effect like your's...

I never used Ulead, so cannot comment on it.

Click Effects -> Select 3D in the drop down list -> Select Whirlpool -> In the timeline click on the effect and the customize button will appear where you can control the explosion.

Well, it isnt that unbelievable. I mean... it is just simple fysics if you think about it.
