  • Breif story

This Korean battle ship and the general is the most proud hero of Korean history. The fact was,,, They won against Japanese supply focrce and supply crafts in suprise. After that Japan put in bad fight, only on the sea, because Japan mainly brought landing forces but not destroyers. Any way, Chinese army came to help, after Japan army cpatured both the capitals of South and North Korea. Japan and China+Korea fought evenly. Even Japan won at some points. this Korean navy defeated and the hero was killed. Chinese navy general also defeated. Japan had power on the sea in the late of the war. they cease fire by they both feeling war weariness. This war made Korean's charactor, which Korea worships China and give S**t to Japan, even now.

i'm japanese and that's false. there's even a japanese admiral that won against the russians in the japanese-russo war and admitted he is not near the korean general yi sun shins level. This is from wikipedia:

Admiral Togo Heihachiro of the Imperial Japanese Navy commented on Admiral Yi in his speech during the celebration ceremony after he defeated the Russian Baltic Fleet in 1905, which was considered as the most powerful naval force in the world at that time, as follows:

You may wish to compare me with Lord Nelson. But do not compare me with Korea's Admiral Yi Sun-Sin... He is too remarkable for anyone. (from a paper published by the Japanese Institute of Korean Studies (Japanese: 日本朝鮮硏究所))

you're Japanese and by reading Japanese textbooks and basing your arguements on them already nullifies everything. The whole planet, except for Japan of course, knows that Japanese History Textbooks are censored, rewritten to blind the youngsters from the truth of what the Empire of Japan has done, What it's soldiers have done to POW's and innocent people. These 'soldiers' who fight for 'honour' are commit war crimes that range from arson, murder, R**e and loot; all for simply one thing, enjoyment. Honour my ass. I suggest everyone to read about what they did to the countries they have conquested, especially China. Read about the 'Nanjing Massacre' , only one could imagine what the Japanese did to the Chinese.

supply ships? are you kidding me. look it up anywhere, any encyclopedia, he kicked japans ass and you're just bitter about it. China actually didn't help korea that much. matter in fact, they were cutting a deal with japan to split korea. don't be blinded by japanese textbooks, they're full of S**t the korean general that you insult is actually a god in Japan, even today. He put so much fear into the japs that they even made him a god... and is a a coincedence that all textbooks around the world tell the samething.... except for japans? even now, china and korea are pissed off at japan for their textbooks full of lies. even now, japan is trying to take land from korea.... and you know what, the north and south are uniting in one thing, F**king japan up.

    • in addition,

japanese history book have been written by the japanese to hide the atrocities they carried out in nearly every conflict. What do your books say about the conquest of China, Korea and the Philippines and the occupation of Thailand in the 1940's. Any thing about the treatment of Prisoners of War (POW's)? No i dont think so. Your soldiers slaughter men women and children in the name of the Emperor. Please read about how your brave soldiers bayoneted defenseless POW's who couldn't walk on the death marches, who didnt allow them to drink water. What about the 1000's of Korea women who were force to f*uk your spineless soldiers.

Your Emperor has hardly acknowledged any of these proven facts. Those soldiers, your fathers and granfathers go unpunished for the war crimes they commited. They are murders and rapists yet japanese ppl believe they were just soldiers doing a job.

For those who think the atomic bombs were cruel. THINK AGAIN, the japanese empire was committing mass murder thru out the pacific and asia.

The honour of the japanese is non existant. Face up to your past or let the world turn their back on you. """(:)@

    • couldn't agree anymore

The numerous warcrimes which Japan has commited are all unforgivable. I suggest you people look up 'war crimes' or 'international court of law' and search for war crimes; look under ASIA or the court associated to Asia. You will notice that about 80% of the warcrimes were commited by Japan and their conquest for greed and power during the second world war. This list of warcrimes only lists crimes that have been commited during the past century; who knows what they did to Taiwan, China and Korea before that.
What is most unforgivable is R**e and random man slaughter the Japanese had commited. I take the Nanjing Massacre in China for example; Women, ranging from INFANT to elderly, that's right, infants; were raped simply for the enjoyment of the Japanese. Japanese soliders forced families to commit incest sex, raped pregnant women all simply for enjoyment. They slaughtered random civillians on streets, threw babies up into the air and caught them with bayonets.
I can see why Japanese textbooks are rewritten. I wouldn't feel 'proud' or 'honoured' of my soldiers if they did all that S**t Then again, that was the past and no one can blame the Japanese who are currently living right now. I just feel that it is a shame that the Japanese public are blinded from the truth.

    By joonyung 1165096977
  • Admiral Yi Soon Shin is korea's national...

It is said no matter how outflanked or outnumbered he was by the japanese, he would always come out victorious. If you ask any kid in Korea to name their favorite past time hero, almost everytime, it woud be this man.
