I believe you are right. I'm using Simpson's catalog C-2007. On page 181, it shows the DPT5Z in the picture on a 4X4 post. However in the write up it says to use the DPT7Z on 4X4s. A mistake in their catalog. Thanks for the comment.

I think that the 4x4 Deck Post Ties used in the video are coded DPT7Z, not DPT5Z as shown at the beginning. DPT5Zs are sized for 4x2 posts.
