The Warriors is a cult classic 1979 film directed by Walter Hill and based on the 1965 novel by Sol Yurick. The film also borrows certain elements from the Anabasis by Xenophon.

A Los Angeles gang is framed for killing the boss of the city's top gang during a time of peace, sending them on a dangerous cross-city mission to get back to their home turf alive.
