what if i replace the flash light of my video camera?

but wouldn't it be the same if you attach a regular flash light to the camera in order to see in the dark?

I made the flashlight, but then i realized i don't have a camcorder, so i just walk aimlessly through the dark with my flashlight.........it was fun until i found the stairs:)

I will be on the Do-It-Yourself High all week when I get this project done. The competition in this house for techno ideas that out do the last one is the paste and glue of our romance.

But more lightweight and convenient. Although, it doesnt seem to light much up... or differ between a regular flashlight ¬_¬

The LEDs in controllers are 940nn the best are 850nn :) buy em from ebay.

that is complete bs, for one, when you put the IR LEDs into the flashlight and turned it on, you wouldn't be able to see the light except vaguely at the bulb, and it would be a red color. second, it will show up slightly red on film. try this guys, take your remote in a dark room, turn on your digital camera, point it at the camera and hold down a button. see what it looks like

But to all of you that cant solder (like me for example :) ), there is easier way, buy some cheap IR flashlight on dealextreme (they have it)

Especially if you can find those things laying around the house.

That really works. BUT it isn't true night vision. True night vision actually amplifies available light. Plus, you can buy a simple IR flashlight.

videocameras allready include nightvision

but just doesnt have the range I'd like out of a useable night vision decive. Check out my channel for a similar device I made with a CVS camcorder and integrated, high power IR LED's.
