By now, the entire country has heard about female quarterback phenomenon,
Jasmine Plummer.
She's carried the Browns to the playoffs and they need one more win
to reach Pop Warner's Mid-American Super Bowl for the first time
in 20 years. Part of that delay may have to do with the harsh times
that have hit Minden. When the town's plant closed down,
jobs left, poverty and crime set in.
That is why Jasmine Plummer's rise is so crucial to the town's
struggling citizens.
Hey.
Lookit here. I don't know about the rest of you,
but that certainly isn't the Minden I know.
Look outside there.
What do you see? Main Street, right?
But the people in the news,
they are only gonna see a rundown, dirty road.
That's true.
At the very least,
we can fix up our main drag, now, can't we?
How we supposed to do that, rev? This town ain't got no money.
