To make sure their music will sound the way they want it, Dillinja and Lemon D build their own sound system. It is possibly the loudest sound system in the world, delivering 90,000 to 100,000 watts coupled with 100 speakers. At the clubs Dillinja and Lemon D only put up half the equipment as all of it has been designed to cater for a whole park. The valve sound system has been engineered specially for the drum and bass sound. It delivers the deepest and clearest bass frequencies, the motto being: if you can't feel it, you can't hear it. An average valve night starts with local dj & mc talents, who want to test their skills in front of a wider audience. Then it is time for Dillinja and Lemon D's set, which feature changing guest MCs. Now they really crank up the volume and earplugs are heavily recommended. The valve sound system tours monthly in venues like fabric, mass and the refurbished coronet cinema. Dillinja and Lemon D have their own drum & bass label, aptly named valve recordings. Dillinja got his inspiration from jah shaka's reggae sound system and the early 90s rave sound systems.
