London waterbus boat trips start in Little Venice. The boat travels down the Regent's Canal to Camden Market. Before the railway was established in England the boats were used to transport coal. The trip takes about 50 minutes and provides a relaxing alternative to the sticky Underground. The waterbuses leave every hour from 10.00, stopping en route at London Zoo. They pass by colourful house boats, Regent's Park villas and a Chinese boat restaurant. From Friday to Sunday Camden Market is an alternative shopping paradise for backpackers and music freaks. You can find a diverse selection of clothes, jewellery and bric-a-brac as well as food from all over the world. London waterbus tickets are sold on the boat, and reservation is not necessary.
