We apologize for the black-and-white trailer print of this John Ford classic, his first in vibrant Technicolor! To replace a battle he didn't have time to shoot, Ford put Henry Fonda against a wall, peppered him with questions about what took place as the actor improvised the battle scenario. This take, with Ford's voice removed, took the place of the action scene.
