MGMT - Kids (Official Music Video)

Ok so yes the first time I saw this video I was like... WOAH THERE! That poor kid! But actually I think that people are right that the kid wasnt seriously emotionally scarred because of this video. There's no way that the producers of this video could have gotten away with actually terrorising the child. So yes I agree it was done mostly through editing and there's no way the parents of that child would have let it be in this video if they thought he wasn't going to be looked after properly.

I have to say though the video is actually soooo powerful. The imagery is great! Disturbing but effective and goes perfectly with the song... So yes... I think they've made a statement... well done to them! n_n

To all you stupid ppl commenting crap on this video you guys are fucken stupid F**ks . 1st of all the kid never saw these monsters in reality! 2nd there is something called E-D-I-T-I-N-G!!!! 3rd of all if you dont fucken like the video then shut the F**k up and dont comment trash on this video that actually makes sense to the song!

The Kid doesn't seem to really care about the fact that the monsters are trying to get him,but that anyone other than the "actual Mom" (not the actress) is trying to pick him up. At 2:45 you can see her had leading the kid ahead but just out of his reach. If the kid was really scared he'd cry even when the mom had him cause the monsters are still there. At the part where he's being carried by the actress he's reaching for someone just off screen instead of gripping the lady tighter, moms just to the side of the came. The story is he's cuddled to much and see anyone other than mom as a monster, That needs to stop

This video is great, its original and its something differnt then the band just in a garage and singing there unoriginal song, and they must have put a lot of thought into the video, and the baby wasnt even attacked, so u can stop complianing

Accidentally saw the video on tv, the kid is scared, no doubt, crap fathers, crap director, crap band.

The music is clearly an atempt to copy sigur ros, but maybe they should watch a great video of sigur ros with kids that´s actually a masterpiece.

I was a HUGE fan of MGMT until I saw this video. Its awful! It is disturbing to see this little kid freaked out. Where are the parents? I am NOT going to spend any more money on MGMT. Its awful. they need everyone an apology and should redo it. The one on youtube that got 15 million hits is WAY better than this.
