BBC News - China's Grime Belt Air Pollution Extreme

China's industrial revolution. The British industrial revolution had similar environmental problems. The Swedes got really pissed because the pollution caused acid rain to fall in their country killing all the plant and animal life in their fresh water lakes.

Chinese are so proud of themselves I don't know why. Their behavior and attitude are 2000 years behind everyone else. It shows that no matter how economically successful you are, you can't turn monkeys to humans overnight.

If you care about the enviroment so much, you know its bad to it that your actually on the computer?

Everyone over the world eats beef, lamb, chicken, ect., and that's called meat too.

Is that how you view the Chinese? Not every Chinese is bad, just like not every European is good.

... while china pollutes its country at an unprecedented rate killing thousands of its own citizens each year... you find that laughable?

Whether you believe in global warming or not, our habits must change and more importantly our power sources must change. Too many people are dying because of air pollution. It's really odd to think that so many people around the world are dying simply because they're breathing... It boggles my mind.

yeah, you're not going to see anything else because of the smog.

China sure is doing alot to prepare for it though. And not just buildings, they're planting millions of trees.

Why Western Medias are MUTED on this? Hundreds of thousands of Chinese, including HongKongese and Taiwanese, protest miles after miles. There is ZERO report in EU, BBC, CNN, Australia and other Western nations. Smaller anti-China protests are reported extensively in the West. Is this how "Free Media" works?

Western Christian racist haters need to learn to respect FACTS.

Many Westerners, like the Christian White BBC reporters, want to use the Olympic to punish China.

However this is a miscalculation based on a false assumption -- unfortunately the Chinese do not see the Olympic as "big" as the West feels about it. After all, the Olympic is not Chinese tradition.

The West does not know how China really sees the game. To be honest, we find the whole thing laughable. The Westerners monkey their own tradition and scream their own ideology.
