    Shinji is fighting against all he fears or maybe against himself...maybe it's needed that shinji realize his meaning in life, to bring the "rebirth" of humanity, in way.

    This series it's really the idea of a depressed man, in a depressed life. Poor Hideki Anno. :(

    0:11 "...therefore, becomes God." I guess it's better "...therefore, becomes the existence equivalent to God." The latter is closer to what Fuyutsuki says.
